It is with great sadness to announce that Rodney Smith, former GSL 63rd Bradford East Thorp Methodist Air Scouts, has gone home. Rodney spent over half his life involved in scouting and only left due to health reasons, but he continued to support and acknowledge where possible including the continuing use of skills through daily life. Rodney was also for a time Chairman of Blackhills-Campsite where he and his family spent a lot of time.
Rodney Smith’s funeral will be held at Nab Wood Cemetery on Tuesday 11th September at 14:40.
On behalf of the executive committee and the district as a whole, I express my deepest sympathies and condolences to Rodney’s family at this difficult time and posthumously thank Rodney for his services to scouting in Bradford.
