Blackhills Campsite

Home – Blackhills Scout Campsite (blackhillscampsite.org.uk)

Blackhills Scout Campsite is run by the two Scout Districts of Bradford (North & South). Visitors to the site will enjoy the countryside location set in some 40 acres of unspoilt rural woodland. We are able to offer a complete range of accommodation, from the most basic backwoods camps to our centrally heated centres.

Mains water, toilet and shower facilities are all conveniently located. Fire places are provided on every site and there is a plentiful wood supply.

We are fortunate to have so much land that we are able to provide facilities which make Blackhills a haven of fun and adventure for all ages, yet still keep the woodland and camping areas unspoilt.

Situated to the North West of Bradford, Blackhills is central to a whole range of fascinating places. There is the Roman town of Ilkley with its famous moor, the “high tech” of Britain’s largest cinema screen at the National Media Museum, as well as the rugged moorland of the Bronte country and the Worth Valley Steam Railway. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is less than an hour away. Skipton, Bolton Abbey and Haworth are all local places with real historical Interest. The famous “Five Rise Locks” are a short walk away at nearby Bingley on the Leeds Liverpool Canal. The City of Bradford offers shopping areas, sports centres, museums, cinemas, theatres and other places of interest to the visitor.
