Today has been a huge success for all involved. A delegation of young people from across the District has come together for our very first #youthshaped forum. This was a brilliant opportunity for them to put forward their views and suggestions for the development of our District. Congratulations to Amy Stanton, our new Youth District Commisioner for organising such a fun, inspiring event!

Another selection of views were also taken over the day at our District Leaders forum. Over the course of the day our ADC’s led groups of section leaders in discussions on topics such as programme planning and District events and allowed them to air their views. This was greatly enhanced by a visit from Wendy Gill and Chris Watson from the West Yorkshire County team who conducted a presentation of the updated Badge programme so a big thank you must go to them for their input.

A further bit of excitement was the visit by Wayne Bulpitt, the UK Chief Comissioner who took time out of his busy schedule to join us in our discussions and to officially open the Blackhills-Campsite bouldering wall, climbing tower and new Amy Clewer building.

Finally, on behalf of the District Team, I would just like to say a big well done and thank you to all who participated and helped to organise this event. We are all now looking forward to taking Scouting in Bradford into the future with a strong partnership formed of both our Young and ‘not so young’ members!
