Amazing St George’s Day today and thank you to all our members for coming!
Here is the poem created from all the things Young people said….
“29th What We Love About Scouting”
Squirrels love to laugh and play,
With games and Lego every day.
We decorate biscuits, sweet and bright,
And build tall towers with all our might.
Drawing pictures, bold and free,
There’s so much fun for you and me!
Beavers love to laugh and play,
Scarecrow tig makes our day!
Arts and crafts, and drawing too,
There’s always something fun to do.
We build tall towers, face great tests,
With spaghetti and marshmallow quests!
And when it’s time for a cuddle and ready—
Nothing beats our Beaver Teddy!
Cubs run wild with teamwork strong,
Playing games where we all belong.
We go outside, explore the land,
With leaders there to lend a hand.
We camp, we learn, we earn our badge,
From forest trails to grassy patch.
We stay active, bold and keen,
Every day’s a brand new scene!
Scouts go further, dream and try,
Like making fuel from sun and sky.
Camping under stars so bright,
Or in a hut on a stormy night.
With pancake flips and gang show cheer,
We make great memories every year.
We play our games, we forge strong ties,
With friends we trust and open skies.
Leaders guide with heart and pride,
Watching young people grow inside.
Helping them to achieve, enjoy,
And giving new skills to each girl and boy.
Meeting new faces, seeing dreams expand,
Building confidence with a guiding hand.
It’s in our DNA, a true vocation—
A family bound by Scouting’s foundation.
From little Squirrels full of fun,
To older Scouts who lead and run—
And Leaders standing strong and wise,
Scouting’s magic never dies!
