It is with great sadness that I must inform you all of the loss of one of our most well-known Scouters and most valued friends. For 30 years Valerie Ward has guided, nurtured and supported the members of our District and her cheerful dedication will be sorely missed. Val passed away peacefully while celebrating her Award of Merit, received at yesterday’s St Georges day celebrations, and was surrounded by friends and family. Our thoughts go out to all her friends and family at this most difficult of times.
