Congratulations on starting your Beavers volunteer journey and becoming a new Beaver Scout volunteer. 

We would like to invite you to one of our online ‘Welcome to Beavers’ sessions. This will give you a brief insight into Beavers and the support and resources available. This will help make sure your Beaver volunteer team is equipped with the information they need to run a fun and varied programme and keep the section open sustainably.

These are intended for:

  • Group lead volunteers who are opening a new Beaver Colony
  • Volunteers starting a new Beaver Colony
  • New Beavers volunteers starting at an existing Beaver Colony

This hour-long webinar, is run by the Growth & Communities team who will take you through the basic information that you need to know about opening a Beaver Colony or starting as a Beavers volunteer. 

This will include:

  • The basics of what a Beaver Colony is
  • The learning available and ratios needed
  • An overview on the programme
  • Useful information about the context for young people in Beavers
  • Further support available to you.
