Group Lead Volunteers:
At this stage you will have completed your expression of interest and had it approved by your District Lead Volunteer, so you will now be looking at opening your Drey. If you are not at this stage yet, then you will want to our attend one of our Thinking About Squirrels online sessions where you can find out more about Squirrels before submitting an expression of interest.

Congratulations on starting your Squirrels journey and getting accepted to either open a Squirrel Drey or becoming a new Squirrel Scout volunteer. 

At this stage you will have completed your expression of interest and had it approved by your District Lead Volunteer, so you will now be looking at opening your Drey.

We would like to invite you to one of our online ‘Welcome to Squirrels’ sessions. This will give you a brief insight into Squirrels and the support and resources available.

These are intended for:

• Group lead volunteers who are opening a NEW Squirrels Drey
• Squirrels volunteers starting at a NEW Squirrels Drey
• New Squirrels volunteers starting at an EXISTING Squirrels Drey

We have a number of dates available and we ask you to register for the date you would like to attend as soon as possible. Any volunteer or potential volunteer from your team is welcome to attend this session so please pass on these details and encourage them to sign up.   

At this session, we will share with you:  

• Uniform and branding 
• The badges and programmes 
• How to run a Squirrel section 
• Actions and next steps
